| RAKER |
maintains effective communication with our external contacts via two “Alert”
documents: Order Alert and Weather Alert.
|
ORDER ALERT
The Order Alert communicates a necessary change, delay, or cancellation to an order. The Order Alert
is sent directly to both an affected broker and affected customer. If you receive an Order Alert, please
respond as quickly as possible to avoid any additional delays.
The Order Alert communicates three vital points to our brokers/customers:
-
Response Date (upper right corner) The response
date indicates when Raker needs direction
to reschedule a new sow date.
-
Contact Information (upper center) The
contact information area lists which customer
the Order Alert applies, the order number, the
original ship week, and the broker contact
information.
-
Report Detail (main body) For each cultivar
and tray size affected, the report detail lists
how many trays are involved, the reason for
the Alert, and three possible responses (reschedule,
substitute, or cancel). If Raker possesses
suitable substitutions in inventory, those
items are listed.
If you have any questions about Order Alerts,
please contact Janice Carpenter (517.542.4506).
WEATHER ALERT
The Weather Alert is sent when inclement weather
delays normal delivery. An e-mail is sent directly to
Broker offices whose customers are affected. The
Weather Alert contains a list with order number,
broker purchase order number, and customer affected.
Weather Alerts are declared based on conditions
in Litchfield, Michigan and the order destination.
We make every attempt not to ship product into
adverse conditions.
If you have any questions about Weather Alerts,
please contact Casey Stanton (517.542.4546).
